Christmas Festivities

After re-arranging some plans due to crazy weather, we have made it through 4 family Christmases. Christmas Eve was spent with my side of the family. Carter made out really well (of course) and scored his first bike complete with a helmet and elbow pads from Grandma and Papa Daby.
Christmas Day was just the 3 of us. Carter got his santa gifts and we just bummed around the house ALL day. It was wonderful! The weekend was filled with much more family. We traveled 2 hours to see my Mom's side of the family, We have LOTS of family on that side of the family and always WAY too much food. It made for a great day! Today we spent all day with Chris' Mom and Grandma. Carter got spoiled yet again and I think his favorite toy of day is his Mack truck from the movie "Cars".
I got an awesome gift that was totally un-expected... A Kitchen Aid Mixer! I will be able to make cookies and cakes much easier and quicker with this!
*edited to add pictures.
This is Carter's hand made pj's courtesy of my grandma Sheri. There are little cowboys on his shirt if you were wondering :)
Carter and his awesome new bike. We can't wait for nice weather so we can play outside!

Here I Go...

I am jumping on the blogging bandwagon.  Or at least I am attempting to. I am a self proclaimed "blog stalker".  I follow a handful of blogs and can't get enough of it! Some of them are friends of mine and others are one's that I have stumbled upon with a specific focus like cooking, or couponing. I never thought I could be a blogger. I feel so un-interesting but I guess that's what I love about everyone else's blogs.  They talk about their lives and what is important to them so maybe my "normal" life of being a working Mom and wife will be entertaining to others as well. At the least this blog will be a good way to share things that I want to remember.  My son Carter will be 3 in February.  He is at the stage of saying all sorts of funny things. I'm sure I will have many funny stories to share in the future.  So to my friends, family and strangers who may stumble upon this blog, enjoy, and please leave any comments you like!
